setting up my home office VPN (ISP Internet Support - Cabling, Connectivity)

by tony232, Sunday, January 31, 2010, 10:02 (220 days ago)

I had a working VPN for my office to my home. When I switched from cable to DSL at my home I couldn't get my VPN tunnel back up. The router says I have some LAN IP form the DSL company. 192.168.1.34 but when I goto Find My IP Address it give me a public IP 71.XXX.XXX.XXX. What might be the deal?

setting up my home office VPN

Hi Tony,

There are a couple things that might be blocking this communication. First you need to log into your DSL modem and make sure the VPN security protocols IPsec and TTPT are enabled. Usually they are disabled by default. Give this a shot and let me know how it turns out.

Good Luck! :-D
